Privacy Policy & Disclaimer

Straight talk about privacy and how I run this site.

Privacy Policy

I keep things straightforward here. No tracking, no corporate nonsense, just you and my content.

1. Data Collection

I keep things minimal. What do I collect?

  • Server logs: The usual stuff—your IP, browser type, what pages you visited. My hosting provider keeps these automatically, like every site does.
  • Cookies: Zero. I don't drop any on your machine.
  • Contact forms: Only if you decide to message me directly. That's just you reaching out.

2. Analytics

I don't use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking tools. Honestly? I don't care how many visitors I get. I'd rather have one person actually engage than a million bots inflating my numbers. Quality over vanity metrics.

3. Cookies & Tracking

I'm not using cookies for tracking. Everything here is purely markup and JavaScript for the site—no personal data is collected.

4. Third-Party Links

I sometimes link to other stuff. That's on them, not me. If you click away, check their privacy policy—I have no control over what they do.

5. Data Retention

Server logs? They disappear after a few weeks. Anything you email me? I'll keep it as long as needed to respond, then it's gone. Simple as that.

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Ask me what I have on you (spoiler: probably nothing)
  • Ask me to delete it
  • Block JavaScript in your browser if you're paranoid (fair play)
  • Just... leave. No hard feelings.

7. Questions?

Disclaimer

This is My Personal Site

The opinions you see here? They're mine. Not my employer's, not some company's, just me. This is my corner of the internet.

My Views Change

I think it's healthy to change your mind. If something I wrote a year ago sounds different from what I believe today, that's intentional. I'm not the same person, and neither are you. This site is a snapshot in time, not gospel.

Technical Posts (Fair Warning)

I write about technical stuff sometimes. Here's what you need to know:

  • The processes I describe worked for me at the time I wrote them
  • They might not be the best way, or even work for you
  • I assume you know your way around a terminal and Google
  • If I find errors, I'll update the post
  • Everything here is as-is, no warranty. Proceed at your own risk.

I'm Not Liable

If you follow my advice and something breaks on your system? That's on you. I'm sharing what worked for me, not guaranteeing it'll work for you. Always back up your stuff first.

Things Change Fast

The internet moves quick. What's accurate today might be outdated tomorrow. Take everything here with a grain of salt and verify things yourself.

This Can Change

I might update this disclaimer whenever. No announcement, no heads-up. Just check back if you're curious.

Cookie & Tracking Settings

Real talk: I don't use cookies or track you. This isn't a corporate site trying to follow you around the internet. These controls are here just to show what a proper privacy setup looks like if I ever did track you (spoiler: I won't!).

Your privacy matters to me. I built this site to be simple, fast, and honest—no trackers, no data collection, no nonsense. Just content, no strings attached.

Want to Block Cookies Anyway?

Your browser lets you disable cookies if you want extra peace of mind:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data → Block all
  • Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection → Strict
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Prevent cross-site tracking
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy and services → Tracking prevention → Strict

Block JavaScript Too?

If you're really paranoid, you can disable JavaScript in your browser. Fair warning though—some stuff might break. Use browser extensions like NoScript if you want fine-grained control.
